Monday night Scoutmaster Don Reeves recognized former Scoutmaster and current Assistant Scoutmaster for Camping, James “Jimmy” Etchberger for his years of service as the Scoutmaster of Troop 103 from 2004 to 2008. As we celebrate our 95th year of continuous operation as a Scout Troop, we are recognizing former Scoutmasters that have made this Troop so successful over a good portion of the 95 years!!! Along with Mr. Etchberger, we are also recognizing three other former Scoutmasters of the troop who include Scoutmaster Emeritus Mr. David Nunn (the longest serving of the former Scoutmasters and still in Williamsburg), Mr. David Coppinger who still serves as an ASM in the Troop, and Mr. Doug Marty (now living in Minnesota). These gentlemen have been responsible for keeping the Scouting program vibrant and inviting to the youth and parents of the Williamsburg community for over 40 years. Without these gentlemen of strong character, values, and traditions we would not get to enjoy many of the activities, outings, camping trips, and recognition we enjoy today.

We honor these former Scoutmasters for what they have done for this Troop and for what they continue to do in order to keep this program successful for our Scouts!

We thank you former Scoutmasters for all of your love and support!
