The Troop built its annual Christmas Float and walked in the Williamsburg Christmas Parade again this year! Our Scouts took it to the next level with their version in keeping with the Parade theme of “Merry & Brite”! The float included an extremely large Christmas bulb on the back of Mr. Etchberger’s truck, followed by a 30 foot two story Christmas work shop, with working Christmas story scenes, topped with sleigh and reindeer. It also included smoke from a chimney on the second floor, and snow flakes being blown onto the crowds below. The back end of the main float also sported a 4 foot in diameter sparkling star. The main float was then followed by a trailer with a life sized snow globe complete with Elves hammering in their work shop, and that trailer was followed by a super sized Snow Man being manually pulled by Elves.
The Scouts of Troop 103 won First Place for their efforts in the Youth category this year!!!! Great job building and sporting your float this year Scouts!!!!!!
