Berkely Plantation here in Virignia happens to have the distinction of being the site of the Colony’s first official Thanksgiving here in America. Yes, one year before the Pilgrims at Plymouth!
Troop 103 Scouts have been fortunate the last few years to be invited to help setup, teardown and participate in the celebration.
What a great opportunity to learn history first hand and to see so many people come out to commemorate what the early settlers did here in Viriginia over 400 years ago!
