Troop 103 Scouts conducted a 5 mile hike each way along with an overnight campout in October adhering to Covid protocols. October would have been our historical backcountry campout on the AT. The current conditions with Covid made us adjust our plans and stay in the local area but we still got in an overnight campout and some hiking! All crews hiked the requisite 5 miles each day and we camped at Fort Pocahontas on the James River. The weather was a bit wet and gloomy but its not a Troop 103 campout if we don’t get our fair share of rain!!!
